YB Hannah Yeoh

Women, Arise Now!

Hannah Yeoh is currently the Deputy Minister of Women, Family and Community Development, and Member of Parliament for P117 Segambut, a parliamentary constituency in the Federal Territory of Kuala Lumpur.  She was the Speaker of the Selangor State Legislative Assembly from 2013-2018, making her the first woman Speaker and the youngest of any legislative body in Malaysia. She holds a Bachelor of Laws and was a practising lawyer in Australia and Malaysia before venturing into politics. Hannah has also authored a book, “Becoming Hannah”. She  is married to Ramachandran Muniandy and they are parents to two beautiful girls. 

 

Susanna Koh

Never Give Up

Susanna Koh is the wife of Pastor Raymond Koh who was abducted in 2017 and has not been found since. Susanna met her husband while serving in Operation Mobilization (OM) Malaysia.  With pioneering spirits, together, they studied theology in the Bible College of New Zealand in Auckland and started an Asian fellowship group that later grew into a church.  On their return to Malaysia, they planted and pastored a church in Bandar Sunway.  In 2005, they established Harapan Komuniti, a non-profit organisation to help the poor, marginalised and needy. At 40, Susanna established a kindergarten which she managed for 13 years after  earning a Diploma in Early Childhood Education (Montessori).  Susanna and Pastor Raymond have three children - Jonathan, Esther and Elizabeth.

From Nothing to Something

Listed in Forbes Asia’s inaugural “30 Under 30” list as one of 30 outstanding changemakers and as a Young Outstanding Singaporean Awardee, Wai Jia’s work as a humanitarian doctor to catalyze change in underprivileged communities has been recognized globally. Having embarked on a road less travelled, her battle with depression and anorexia did not hinder her from following God's call to serve the poor in Africa and Asia, or writing and illustrating poignant picture books to raise funds and awareness for the underserved. To date, she has raised more than $200,000 for orphans, women rescued from sex-trafficking and refugees. She is the Founder of Kitesong Global, an international non-profit ministry that empowers underprivileged women and children, with a vision to set every dream free. Hiranthi Mendis

From War to Peace For My Nation

Pastor Hiranthi Mendis serves as a Senior Minister of Gospel Ministries Sri Lanka, which overseers over 70 assemblies.  Hiranthi’s passion is to encourage the “Esther” in you to arise to all that God has for you.  She leads the monthly “Prayer Parliament” along with her husband, affirming the Kingdom call that praying Christians rule over their nations..  Prayer governance of her nation has been the theme of the Kingdom Ladies Business Meeting, a group she founded.  She has ministered in the UK, Germany, Malaysia, Singapore, India and Australia. Hiranthi is an attorney-at-law and is married to Dr Lalith Mendis.

 

Rev. Foo Moy Peng

Raising the “Mulan” Army

Rev Foo was born again in 1979 and within ten years gave her life to serve the Lord in full time ministry. Her passion is clear and fiery - to raise up believers to become leaders of transformation for the Kingdom of God. She believes everyone is worthy and capable to be equipped. Living out this belief, she co-pioneered the Jubilee Initiative Malaysia, a Chinese Bible college for training the grassroots -  youths, women and the elderly to be part of the army of God. She affectionately calls her students the Mulan Army.  She is the senior pastor of Kingdom for Glory (KG112) in Cheras KL, a council member of NECF, and the Chinese coordinator of Love Cheras Care Services.

 

Cheryl Lee

Walking With God in The Marketplace

Cheryl Lee is the Managing Director of SOTHYS Malaysia and Singapore for over 20 years. A decision to return to the Lord, and be obedient to His leading, saw SOTHYS’ bottomline expand 10-fold between 2006 and 2010.  In 2012, in obedience to God’s prophetic guidance, she began to assimilate godly foundational programmes that build character and relationships into the business. Despite some early setbacks, she remained steadfast and has seen steady growth year on year. Today, SOTHYS is the respected leader in professional premium skincare in Malaysia and has 65 corporate and licensed salon partners.  Cheryl holds an MBA in Retailing from University of Stirling.  Her life centers around God, her work, family and friends.

 

Jenny Ooi

How I Chose Family Before Career and Got Both

Jenny Ooi runs her own consulting business - focussing on the area of growing a business through its talent. With over 20 years of global experience, Jenny provides simple, nimble and effective business solutions to organizations. Prior to venturing out on her own, Jenny was in the Who’s Who of the corporate HR world and has worked in the US, EU, Middle East and Asia. Her turning point to put family ahead of her illustrious career came when her travels took her away from her family 50% of the time. A difficult decision to make and yet she did. Come listen to her testimony on how God prepared her for the next part of her life where she’s now blessed with a great business AND family time. Jenny is a graduate from the Royal Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (U.K). and a certified Marshall Goldsmith coach. She is married to Vincent Lim and has 2 children.
