You don't want to hate. But you do. After all, they were the bad guys.
The Japanese invaded our country in December 1941 during the Second World War. For close to four years, the Japanese occupation inflicted a trail of untold torture and suffering on soldiers and civilians. The memory of this dark period lives on more than 50 years later. In the hearts and minds of some Malaysians, the Japanese are still the bad guys.
Keiko Holmes has a burden to work for healing and reconciliation between the Japanese and the victims of Japanese brutality. Now residing in London, Keiko who was born in Japan, started her ministry in 1992 by organising "pilgrimages of reconciliation" for former British Prisoners of War to Japan. Her ministry, now under the banner of Agape, has brought her to Thailand, Hong Kong, Taiwan, Singapore, Australia, the United States, Canada and India. Many have found healing and release from their dark past through her efforts. Keiko was awarded the OBE by Queen Elizabeth II in 1998 for her work.
A special invitation to you! Friends, come to hear Keiko and discover the power of forgiveness and reconciliation on the basis of the work of Jesus Christ on the cross! Family members and friends who have been hurt by the Japanese occupation, come also to experience the peace and release!
The war is over. This is a time for peace. May you find peace, not only in external events, but in your hearts also.
