The Kluang churches, under the banner of 'Eden Community Services' are organizing its first ever large-scale community outreach event, called the "Merdeka Day Caring Campaign" to cleanup the Kluang town and some of its surrounding areas. The event hopes to mobilize at least 1,000 young people from Kluang of all nationalities and religions, but under the leadership of Christians from the local churches.
We want to use the 'Merdeka Caring Campaign' as a direct response to the Government's call to 'raise awareness of civic consciousness among the youths today' and we hope to make this project a regular yearly feature in Kluang. In the coming years, God willing, we are thinking of holding National Day Celebration Concerts after the 'Clean-up/Gotong Royong', inviting the whole community for a 'fun-day', where we will celebrate each culture and race's distinctiveness with song, dance, mime, sajak or play, and have food, kenduri, and a makan time, also have a short message by a Christian leader in the town talking abt unity and love among all races. It would be a celebration of what it means to be a Malaysian.

- That you can share this Vision we have to reach out to the community in Kluang to other leaders/pastors/individuals who you meet, who might want to have a part in what the Lord is doing down here in Kluang and give their support, prayer, finances or human resources/expertise
