IN the article “NECF: Executive Summary Listing Not Fair” (Berita NECF, January – February 2004), NECF Secretary-General Rev Wong Kim Kong was quoted as saying: “There is greater religious freedom in Malaysia compared with some countries in the Middle East and other parts of the world”.
He further said, “…the people (in Malaysia) have the liberty to believe, practise, propagate and govern their faiths according to Article 11 of the Federation Constitution – the country’s supreme laws”. The sentence should have read “…non-Muslims have the liberty to believe, practise, propagate and govern their faiths according to...”
