Let your lights shine … participants at the 2000 Merdeka Eve Prayer Rally in Kuantan. The prayer rallies, focusing on praying for the nation and held in all states in Malaysia, have become a yearly tradition. The number of Christians attending the rallies has been steadily increasing every year.

Youths pledging their commitment to the Great Commission at the 1st National Youth Missions Camp at Melaka in 2000. The camp attracted about 500 youths from all over the country. The second camp will be held at Genting Highlands this July.

It’s ‘Sunday Night Fever’ as the young and old celebrated God’s love in dance on the last night of the three-night Breakthrough 2000 Rally at Putra Stadium. The revival meetings featuring four Argentinian speakers attracted tens of thousands each night.

The Evangelical world came to Kuala Lumpur last year for the WEF 11th General Assembly. About 600 leaders from 84 nations attended the week-long gathering organised in partnership with local churches.

Back to the classroom for some 200 Orang Asli Christians at the 2001 National OA Ministries Conference. To make it affordable, the conference was held in a secondary school in Sitiawan.

The WEF International Consultation on Globalisation in Kuala Lumpur last year was an intensive three-day consultation for 77 participants worldwide. Over 800 invited guests comprising Christian and corporate leaders attended the opening ceremony officiated by the Prime Minister.
