CALL TO PRAY

CALL TO PRAY

Dear Pastors, Elders and Church Leaders,
Grace and peace be with you.

May 23, 2017 marks the hundredth day of the abduction of Pastor Raymond. On February 13, 2017 he was seized from a busy street in Petaling Jaya in military-styled manner by several men. He remains missing and to-date the authorities have not provided any hopeful news and there is no indication that the case would be solved in the immediate future.

The Apostle Paul in his letter to the Corinthians in explaining the relationship of the Church and her members, reminded us that, “If one member suffers, all the members suffer with it ….” (1 Cor. 12:26a NKJV).

Therefore, the National Evangelical Christian Fellowship (NECF) urges the Church to continue to persevere in prayer for Pastor Raymond Koh and his family.

Let us pray for:

  1. The Lord’s continued protection and provision, both physically and spiritually.
  2. The Lord’s presence to grant Pastor Raymond strength, grace and mercy and for his captors to be filled with the compassion of the Lord.
  3. His family members and loved ones - his wife Susanna Koh and children Jonathan, Esther and Elizabeth - to remain faithful and resilient in the Lord; that the pastoral and spiritual care and support of the Malaysian Church to be a source of inspiration to them.
  4. The Church of Jesus Christ to continue to demonstrate wisdom and practical love in these trying and provocative times.

Besides remembering Pastor Raymond Koh and his family, let us also pray for the safety and wellbeing of everyone in this nation especially our leaders.

May His peace and protection remain as we continue steadfastly in prayer.

In Christ,

Rev. Andy Chi
Assistant Secretary-General
