My House shall be called a House of Prayer

Brief report

"And the foreigners who join themselves to the LORD, to minister to him, to love the name of the LORD, and to be his servants, every one who keeps the sabbath, and does not profane it, and holds fast my covenant-- these I will bring to my holy mountain, and make them joyful in my house of prayer; their burnt offerings and their sacrifices will be accepted on my altar; for my house shall be called a house of prayer for all peoples." (Isaiah 56:6,7 RSV)

This promise was fulfilled in the Church – the believers, who are being built up as a spiritual house for a holy priesthood (1 Peter 2:5). Every believer, the Body of Christ, is the Temple of God (I Corinthian 3:16). Where the believers are, the house of prayer is. The Church stands on the earth before God and on behalf of men to be a house of prayer for all nations. It is a place where people of all nations may find fellowship with God, as well as a place where prayer is offered up to God on behalf of all nations.

"My House Shall Be Called a House of Prayer" is the theme of NECF Malaysia 40-day Fast and Prayer & Charity and the National Prayer Rallies 2004.

Let us respond vigorously to the call of God "who desires all men to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth. For there is one God and one Mediator between God and men, the Man Christ Jesus."

Suggested prayer points:

1.  Pray for NECF National Prayer Conference for the smooth all operation and all aspects of the administrative works.

    Chinese-speaking National Prayer conference (25th – 27th August)

    English-speaking National Prayer conference (26th – 28th August)

2.  Pray for NECF staff – for grace, strength, wisdom and unity.
3.  Pray for the speakers that God may give them a message for the nation.

(1) Dr David Damien – the Director of Watchmen for the Nations in Vancouver, Canada. His passion is  to prepare God’s people, the Bride of Christ, for the Messiah’s second coming.

(2) Dr Iman Santoso – the General Coordinator of National Prayer Network, Indonesia. He has helped to set up prayer networks in 374 cities, women’s prayer networks in 118 cities and students’ prayer networks in 55 cities.

4.  Pray for the participants of the conference – life-changing experience
5.  Pray for the nationwide 40-day Fast and Prayer & Charity campaign which begins on July 22nd through August 30th – wholehearted participation, fervent in prayer, unity of heart & spirit

  3. Sign up for the conference and encourage your friends to do so.
